Course Content
- Introduction to the Sentinel-1 and 2 satellites missions and performances in terms of platforms, signal calibration and preprocessing levels
- Review of the concepts and methods for an end-to-end exploitation of optical and SAR time series for agriculture applications
- Introduction to the diversity of operational or under development agriculture applications, including on the ESA Thematic Exploitation Platforms
- Training on the use of SNAP and Sen2agri open source tool boxes
- Development of operational capacity in implementing processing chains and designing the field data collection for calibration and validation
- Assessment of the output quality, discussion on the possible associated challenges and further possible research questions and improvements
